Chase is removing Priority Pass restaurant benefits

Chase is removing the restaurant benefit from its Priority Pass offering on the Chase Sapphire Reserve, Ritz-Carlton Credit Card, and J.P. Morgan Reserve Credit Card. The removal will go into effect on July 1st, 2024. This perk was particularly valuable in the US, where many airports lack lounges that participate in the Priority Pass network. The way the perk would work is that the Priority Pass card would provide a dollar amount discount at participating airport restaurants.

My Thoughts

While the removal of this benefit may disappoint some, personally, I’ve never found it to be particularly useful. Airport restaurant food tends to be expensive and often doesn’t meet expectations in terms of quality. In my experience, discounts at these establishments don’t offer much of a benefit.

What do you think about these changes? Are you disappointed that the restaurant benefits are going away?
