Grand Central Market, a downtown landmark for 100 years, brings together a variety of cuisines and cultures of LA. It is a popular destination for locals and tourists so be sure to come early!* Although the place is fairly small there are plenty of food options that will make you want to come back again and again. I wanted to try something new since I have recently gotten into film photography. Here are the shots I took on my Nikon F3T that ended up being pretty good. Surprisingly, I was able to get some great shots just on my second roll of film. Be sure to check out my first experimental roll post, with that being said – Film Roll #2 Little Tokyo, Los Angeles
*First timer mistake….. Definitely be sure to check out Balboa Park Explorer to purchase passes (allows access to all the museums!!) If there was one thing I didn’t like about Balboa Park, it was the admission price for each museums, but now that I know there are passes that allow you to visit all the museums, I am definitely coming back!!
I use to travel with my parents at least 3-4 times a year before college and adult life hit me and now I rarely travel (once or twice a year)… 😦 Over the past few years, I’ve had the urge to just travel alone just as an experience to see how I would like it. I really do enjoy my parent/girlfriend’s company whenever we travel, but traveling alone allows me to be in charge of my schedule and work on my bucket list. I recently had a small experience traveling alone for a day in New Orleans and it was a great experience that makes me want to try it more often. I feel like it’s something everyone should try at least once in their lifetime. And NO traveling alone does not make you seem like a lonely person or have no friends. Even though, it might not be for everyone, here are some reasons why I want to travel alone. Continue reading

This travel itinerary is a list of some of the attractions you should check out if you plan to stay in the French Quarter in New Orleans for the weekend. I was not able to do a whole lot during my one-day solo adventure, but here’s a list of my destinations. There are plenty of stuff to do in and around New Orleans, like plantations, swamps and bike tours. So be sure to do your research especially if you plan to stay for more than 3 days! There is quite a lot of historical landmarks in and around the French Quarter, making it hard to hit all of them in one weekend. Continue reading
Back in April, I was able to explore New Orleans for a day alone after an eventful bachelor party. I spent most of my weekend in the French Quarter and Frenchmen Street. However, on my last day, I began my day at Louis Armstrong Park and ended my day at the Garden District. I made plenty of stops along the way and probably walked 6+ miles that day which didn’t feel like much because there was so much to see and limited time. I prefer to walk when I’m traveling rather than request a Lyft or Uber to get to my destination. The reason being is that it allows me to explore every nook and cranny of the city. If the destination is pretty close by I suggest walking if the situation permits so you can get more out of your trip.
