*First timer mistake….. Definitely be sure to check out Balboa Park Explorer to purchase passes (allows access to all the museums!!) If there was one thing I didn’t like about Balboa Park, it was the admission price for each museums, but now that I know there are passes that allow you to visit all the museums, I am definitely coming back!!
This travel itinerary is a list of some of the attractions you should check out if you plan to stay in the French Quarter in New Orleans for the weekend. I was not able to do a whole lot during my one-day solo adventure, but here’s a list of my destinations. There are plenty of stuff to do in and around New Orleans, like plantations, swamps and bike tours. So be sure to do your research especially if you plan to stay for more than 3 days! There is quite a lot of historical landmarks in and around the French Quarter, making it hard to hit all of them in one weekend. Continue reading
Back in April, I was able to explore New Orleans for a day alone after an eventful bachelor party. I spent most of my weekend in the French Quarter and Frenchmen Street. However, on my last day, I began my day at Louis Armstrong Park and ended my day at the Garden District. I made plenty of stops along the way and probably walked 6+ miles that day which didn’t feel like much because there was so much to see and limited time. I prefer to walk when I’m traveling rather than request a Lyft or Uber to get to my destination. The reason being is that it allows me to explore every nook and cranny of the city. If the destination is pretty close by I suggest walking if the situation permits so you can get more out of your trip.
This travel itinerary is a list of the must-see attractions Seattle has to offer if you plan on traveling to Seattle for the first time. There are still quite a few attractions I have yet to experience but I will be giving my thoughts on the ones I have been too.
Before we begin, I want to recommend visitors who plan on staying in Seattle for 2-3 days to look into getting a CityPASS. These can be brought online or in person at museums or other locations in Seattle for $79.00. (I brought mines at the Seattle Aquarium) Continue reading
It was my first time traveling out of state with my significant other, and it was a trip to remember! We had a blast and were able to fit in a bunch of activities within the 3 days we were there. Seattle is known to rain a lot, but we were lucky that it only rained the first day. There was, however, a lot of overcasts the entire trip. Overall, I enjoyed the city and would highly recommend Seattle to first-time travelers on a budget.
Here are some photos I took from Seattle. Continue reading
