I figured the best way to learn film photography was to just go out and shoot. I didn’t care about getting good shots but focused on playing around with the controls and see what works or don’t work. Here are the shots I took with my very first film roll. I did not expect much at all but I was surprised at how good some of the images came out. With my second roll I was able to get a lot more usable and better photos which can be seen here (will update when the post is up). My advice to anyone starting to learn film I think the best way is to experiment with your first roll. It’s like with any technology you mess around with the device and see what it can/can’t do and move on from there. With film it will be a little harder because you don’t know how it will come out until you process them (usually 1-5 days depending on the place).
